Women's Ministry at Joy desires that all women experience life to the fullest as believers in Jesus Christ. We offer a wide variety of opportunities to encourage women in their spiritual growth and help them connect with others. It is our goal that every woman be: embraced by God's grace, empowered by His Spirit, established in His Word and engaged in serving others.

Bible Studies for Women

Our Women’s Bible Studies are open to women of all ages, interests and backgrounds. You don't have to be a member of Joy to attend. It is a great place to make new friends, laugh, sing and grow. You can pre-register for any class by calling Linda at 623-561-0500 x269 or emailing linda.swanson@joyonline.org.

Childcare is offered for mothers or grandmothers who are attending class. Older preschoolers (3-5 years old) will enjoy an exciting program designed to meet their needs. Babies and toddlers will enjoy loving care in the nursery, located in Kid Kountry. Because of State law, we can only provide
childcare for children with mothers or grandmothers on campus.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study: Genesis
Join us for a Bible study on Genesis led by Shannon Hoffpauir. The class meets in the Worship Center at 10 AM on Wednesdays and is for moms of all ages. Shannon.Hoffpauir@joyonline.org

Precious Moments Bible Study/Fellowship
Join us for Precious Moments Women’s Bible study on Thursdays at 9:15 AM in The Bridge. We begin with refreshments, a brief devotion and fellowship. At 10 AM we offer the following three Bible studies:

I. Daniel (video/discussion by Beth Moore). Led by Judy Price. Join Beth Moore in this faith-building study of prophecy and learn how to live with integrity in today’s self-absorbed society. The prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressures to compromise his faith, to live in a hostile culture and to confront temptations and threats. Today, believers in Jesus Christ face many of the same trials.

II. Protected by God: How to Walk in the Full Armor of God. Led by Lynette Vatsass. God has provided everything we need for protection and yet we as Christians often miss the blessing by not putting on the armor He has provided. We can claim this gift by receiving, knowing, talking, thinking and walking the Word of God, and by replacing the habits of self-doubt, negative thoughts, critical remarks and low expectations
with the positive assurances found in scripture.

III. How to Grow in Christ. Led by Carol Campbell. Discover the tools of faith and prayer to use in your daily walk. We will learn about Spiritual maturity to overcome everyday trials.

3-D (Diet, Discipline & Discipleship)
Led by Sharon Gallego at 9:30 AM in Room 302. If you are on a journey of reclaiming your life for God, or rediscovering your true self after a period of living “out of control” in some way, you may need this wisdom! Learn how to make every day a new beginning.

Sunday Bible Study: Genesis
Led by Sharon Gallego at 11:00 AM in Room 302. Genesis, the first book of the Bible, unfolds the record of the beginning of the world, of human history, of family, of civilization, of salvation. It is the story of God’s purpose and plan for his creation. Study Genesis and be encouraged. There is hope! No matter how dark the world situation seems, God has a plan. No matter how insignificant, useless or sinful and separated from God you feel, God loves you and wants to use you in His plan.

Mom to Mom

Mom to Mom: A group especially for moms!
Meeting every other Friday morning at 9:30 AM. Mom to Mom is a biblically based parenting program designed around the Titus 2:4 concept of older women teaching and encouraging younger women. If you long for interaction with women who have similar challenges and want to raise children with character, integrity, and joy, this is the group for you. Each week the lesson will center around 20-25 minute DVD sessions featuring Linda Anderson on the subject of “Inside-Out Parenting.”

Through small group interaction led by the mentor moms, growth occurs not only in our parenting skills but also in our wholeness as women— intellectually, relationally and spiritually. The fee for this class is $25 per semester. Free childcare is available for children ages 5 years and under. Click here to register online! All classes and events are open to women of all ages, interests and backgrounds. Newcomers are always welcome. You need not be a member of CCOJ to attend.
